Reinvigorating the Nuclear Industrial Base

This executive order seeks to rebuild the U.S. nuclear energy sector by expanding domestic uranium enrichment and fuel reprocessing capabilities, restarting or completing shuttered plants, and accelerating construction of new advanced reactors. It invokes the Defense Production Act to establish voluntary agreements with private companies and stabilize the nuclear fuel supply chain.
